Tilapia with Lemon Butter Sauce
We had Tilapia for supper and my daughter really enjoyed the lemon sauce over the cooked Tilapia.
Tilapia with Lemon Butter sauce
1/2 cup flour
3 tablespoons olive oil
4 Tilapia fillets
Kosher salt and pepper
Lemon Sauce (recipe below)
Place flour in shallow baking dish or plate and set aside. Pat fish fillets with a paper towel, season each sides with salt and pepper and let it sit about 5 min.
Coat both sides of fillet with flour and shake off excess and place them on a plate. Heat the olive oil over high heat in a large non-stick skillet until oil is shimmering, but not smoking. Place the fillets in a single layer and immediately reduce heat to medium-high, cook for 2-3 min on each side. Transfer fillets onto plate. Serve with lemon sauce.
Lemon Sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion finely chopped
1/2 cup white wine
2 tablespoons butter (warm in room temperature)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley.
1/2 squeezed lemon
In a sauce pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Sauté the onion until softened, about 1 min. Add wine, increase heat to high and bring to a boil until the liquid reduced in half, about 3-5 minutes. Remove sauce pan from burner and pour into a bowl, then strain out the onion, and discard.
Whisk in butter, parsley then gradually add the lemon. Pour over on top of the cooked Tilapia & serve.
And garnish with a pinch of parsley (optional). Just trying to be creative, that's all! :)
